I had a lovely day today. The reason why it was great was because I laughed a lot with and at my younger cousin who is desperately trying to pick up girls and he decided that I was the perfect person who could help him. My mistake was when I agreed with that a couple of days ago but the truth is that I never thought that he was serious. It sounded like a joke so I laughed and promised him that I would help him with his problems.
His problem is actually that his is always rejected by the girls he tries to pick up. I asked him how he approaches them and I was expecting something less normal than what he said. He told me that since a couple of months ago he was using some funny pickup lines he found on line. At the beginning it seemed that women like them but they still rejected him. I asked him to tell me the lines he was telling the girls he wanted to date so I could tell him my opinion about his way of picking up girls. So, he started trying to impress me with his funny pickup lines which were not even close to being funny. The only thing that was funny was his gestures and expressions. I started laughing and I couldn’t stop for many minutes. I was very rude, I know but I just couldn’t help myself. It was one of those moments when you know that you shouldn’t laugh but you just can’t stop yourself.
After I calmed down, I told my cousin what he was doing wrong. First of all, he chose all the pickup lines that he shouldn’t have, and he doesn’t act like he is confident when he talks to women. So, he had to select different lines and to work on his confidence because that was the most important. I helped him with some good and funny pickup lines and all he had to do was to become more confident because women like that a lot.
I really hope that my cousin realizes he is a great guy, in order to become more confident and for the sake of his confidence, I hope he wasn’t be rejected by another woman soon. He needs to feel great, wanted, and rejections make him feel weak. The truth is that he doesn’t know how to take the rejections. They are part of the life and of dating. The problem is that he is probably too sensitive for the mean world we are living in.
